Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you place an order, request a quotation, book a workshop, contact support, or use the "Use My Current Location" feature, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, shipping/billing address (address, city, state, pincode), organisation or college name, buyer type, the products or services you're enquiring about, and any message or request details you provide. Workshop bookings are made by a college/institutional representative — we do not collect individual students' personal data directly; only aggregate counts (total students, team size) are recorded.

2. Location Data

If you use the "Use My Current Location" button to autofill your address, your device's precise GPS coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (a third-party, non-commercial geocoding provider) to look up your address. This only happens if you click the button and grant your browser's location permission — it is never collected automatically.

3. Payment Information

Payments are processed entirely on Razorpay's own secure, hosted payment page. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI ID, or bank account details — our systems only receive Razorpay's payment ID, amount, payment method (e.g. "card," "upi"), and status.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process orders and quotations, generate invoices, communicate order/workshop status updates, respond to support requests, and improve our products and services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Who We Share It With

We share information only where necessary to run the business:

• Razorpay — to process payments and refunds.
• Zoho Mail — to send order confirmations, quotations, and support replies from our @theapex.site mailboxes.
• Google Firebase — to securely store and manage your request data.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — only if you use "Use My Current Location," to convert your coordinates into an address.
• Logistics partners, to fulfil shipments.
• Where required by law.

We do not use any advertising or analytics trackers (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar) — nothing on this site tracks you across other websites.

6. Cookies & Browser Storage

We don't use tracking cookies. This site stores a small amount of data directly in your browser (localStorage/sessionStorage) purely for functionality: your cart contents, a short-lived cache of the products/spares catalog, and two one-time flags so the homepage intro animation and Pixie's greeting don't repeat every time you view a page in the same session. None of this is shared with us or any third party, and none of it is used for advertising.

7. Data Retention

We retain order, quotation, and communication records for as long as needed for our legal, accounting, and business obligations. When a request is deleted by our team, it is permanently and irreversibly erased from our systems 7 days later.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by writing to us at the email address below. We'll act on it as quickly as our legal and record-keeping obligations allow.

9. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children. Workshop bookings are made by a college or institutional representative, not by students directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from minors.

10. Data Location

Your information is stored on Google Firebase's cloud infrastructure and processed through Razorpay (India) and Zoho Mail (India-based servers). Some information — such as coordinates sent to OpenStreetMap when you use location autofill — may be processed outside India.
